The Governor’s Citation for Outstanding Service to the Citizens of Maryland was recently awarded to Bishop Christopher Benjamin, Senior Project Manager at SIRIS!

On August 8 at the Ebenezer Church of God, Chris was given this distinction as a testament to his service leadership both at work and in the community. As an esteemed ecclesiastical leader, senior project management executive, and dedicated advocate for youth development and community transformation, Chris is an exemplary role-model for what it means to Love Mercy.

Chris has lived this core value through high-impact volunteer service and youth advocacy, taking on pastoral responsibilities as the president of Ebenezer Church of God Community Outreach Ministries; assistant pastor for a 400-member congregation; and as youth pastor, guiding young people toward personal excellence, faith, and proactive citizenship.

Whether directing complex construction projects, delivering pastoral teachings, or organizing local outreach, Chris continues to lead with humility, integrity, and a purpose-driven commitment to civic engagement and servant leadership.
