SIRIS LLC is proud to announce the successful completion of the purchase and novation of the Smithsonian Institution’s Construction Management Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, effective August 1, 2025. Over the past six months, SIRIS has successfully integrated 100 percent of the transitioning staff, ensuring seamless continuity of service and uninterrupted support for critical Smithsonian projects.
Since the transition, the tenured and talented project teams have continued to excel across a range of high-profile cultural facilities, including the Consolidated Museum Storage Facility in Suitland, Maryland, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden Revitalization Project, and both ongoing and new work at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC. The team’s performance has reinforced SIRIS’ commitment to excellence in construction management for nationally significant cultural institutions.
The novation followed SIRIS’ acquisition of the Smithsonian IDIQ contract and experienced project staff from Lendlease, a strategic move that deepened the firm’s cultural construction portfolio while preserving established client relationships and institutional knowledge. Our new team members have supported Smithsonian facilities for more than 25 years including the major renovations and additions to the Air and Space Museum, National Zoo, Capital Gallery Buildings, and other landmark museum projects.

“The transition has been seamless, and the team’s reputation and performance continue to speak for themselves,” said Todd Sanders, Vice President of Operations. “We are proud of how quickly and effectively the staff has integrated into SIRIS while continuing to deliver exceptional results for the Smithsonian.”
With prior experience on nationally significant landmarks—including the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Smithsonian National Postal Museum, William H. Gross Stamp Gallery, and Jefferson Memorial Renovations—SIRIS continues to strengthen its position as one of the nation’s leading construction management firms focused on cultural facilities.
