Do Justly Core Value Award Winner

Hank Mei

Construction Manager Hank Mei has been assigned to the San

Francisco VA Medical Center, which consists of a new research

building and seismically upgrading multiple buildings at the

VAMC campus.

During his time on the project, Hank has added major

contributions in the form of cost avoidance. Hank investigated

the need for a new domestic water storage tower, prepared an

analysis, and presented his finding — that the water storage was not necessary — which the Client accepted, resulting in over $2 million in cost avoidance.

This initiative, led by Hank, along with other savings from SIRIS involvement, resulted in a ROI of 4.2 for the Client. What’s more, Hank worked closely with the Client to ensure seamless communication and effective process between all staff, owners, stakeholders, and contractors.

Because of Hank’s contributions in managing the project and providing valued service to our customer, he has exemplified SIRIS’ core value to Do Justly.

specific to VA construction processes and standards, learning

everything he can to uplift and support others within the project.

Gabby Hutzler

Gabby Hutzler started out as a Project Manager with SIRIS before

transitioning to a new role with our marketing team in the second

half of 2024. Her ability to pivot and adapt is a testament to her

ability to trust in us as we trust in her.

To Lead Courageously, is defined by one’s ability to trust in the

process and take calculated risks as we move forward into the

future of SIRIS. Now in 2025,Gabby has pivoted again, this time to the role of Recruiter.

Every day, Gabby brings her A-game to collaborate, communicate and make our team better. Moreso, she leads with empathy, compassion, and kindness — all qualities that comprise our client strategy. Even as she left her position as Project Manager at the Fresno VA, she was able to successfully leap into a new sector, take a new direction and “bloom where planted.”

Gabby has quickly proven that she is invested in SIRIS long-term and is willing to use her skills in whatever way meets the moment. Because of her flexibility and diverse experience, we are excited to see how Gabby will continue to shape the SIRIS team well beyond 2024.
