Veterans Affairs - Jacksonville National Cemetery Phase II
Construction Management Services

Jacksonville, FL  |   2020 - 2022

Each national cemetery exists as a national shrine worthy of the sacrifice of our National Veterans and their families. National cemeteries carry expectations of appearance that set them apart from private cemeteries. VA will continue to maintain the appearance of national cemeteries as national shrines dedicated to preserving our Nation’s history, nurturing patriotism, and honoring the service and sacrifice Veterans have made.

The Jacksonville National Cemetery Expansion project selected a design-build delivery and provides approximately  10 years of additional burial capacity – approximately $30M, covering 30 acres and approximately 20,200 grave sites, including casket, columbarium, and in-ground cremation sites; a new equipment storage building, renovations to the administration, maintenance and public restroom buildings, and existing irrigation system as well as a new irrigation well; supporting infrastructure, including roadways, utilities, site work, landscaping and site furnishings. SIRIS also used a collaborative approach with the Resident Engineers, constructors, and all project stakeholders to conduct QA/QC checks, drawing constructability/phasing review, site investigation, facilities maintenance assessments, inspections, safety audits, and other CM representative support.
