Comprised of 3 iconic structures designed by Moshe Safdie on the Cooper River, near Charleston Harbor. The National Medal of Honor Museum and Education Center is intended to be a learning center first, and a museum second. The focus of the facility will be on sending an important message to our youth about patriotism, leadership, and courage. The facility will include seven interactive exhibit galleries accessed through the Hall of Valor, curatorial spaces, archival spaces, administrative offices, 20,000 square feet of conferencing and classroom facilities, a large outdoor covered amphitheater, a 240-seat auditorium/theater, and a 140-seat chapel.
